I took a break from news this last weekend to fly out to Phoenix, Arizona to see my girlfriend. It was a much needed break as we don’t get to see each other very often. I had a flight out of Orlando at 7:30AM, only got in 2 hours of sleep the night before. I was in an out of consciousness as I was getting settled in 14F. Window seat. I was hoping to sleep the whole way to Memphis, then from Memphis on to Phoenix. I looked up in the aisle, and I saw him…again.
I was flying with President George W. Bush.
The fact that he was in 10D sent a message. Or the fact that he was on my flight for that matter wasn’t right. I had saw him a few months before in June, when I once again, was headed to Phoenix.
It was John Morgan – the President George Bush impersonator.
He meanders the aisle dropping his trademark laugh. I managed to catch a shot of him on my cell phone. He must travel a lot. His website explains the motivational speeches he gives.
John’s show combines his hilarious but respectful impression of President Bush with a few famous George W. faux pas, blended with a mix of parody songs and finishes up with an inspiring message about hope and determination. He elicits heartfelt laughter from both sides of the political aisle.
It’s always fun to brush elbows, literally, with a former President. Or even an impostor for that matter.
It keeps the hellishness of being jammed in a tight seat surrounded by stale air for several hours a little more enjoyable.
