Getting to stay home from school is awesome. For a day or two. Once you find yourself stuck home from school for weeks on end thanks to a global pandemic, it just isn’t as cool anymore as a student. For parents? We already know how you feel. The good news is there are free courses for kids while they’re stuck home from coronavirus. They can learn, you can keep you sanity and everyone wins.
Scholastic’s ‘Learn from Home’ Website
The public education company Scholastic came out with a website comprised of four categories. The Learn from Home site includes lessons for Pre-K and Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2, Grades 3-5 and Grades 6 and up. Each lesson loads up with a week’s worth of content broken down into daily lessons so it’s easy to follow.
You’ll find content filled with articles, stories, videos and learning challenges. There’s even virtual field trips and they can meet best-selling authors while on their daily journey.
Each day is filled with 3 hours of content too. It’s not like a full day at school, but it is definitely a good start to getting them to learn, enjoy their time off and help you plan your day all in the wake of coronavirus. Just some more free courses for kids while they’re stuck home from coronavirus.
Fluency & Fitness (Free 3 weeks)

They are now offering a 3 week free pass for your child.
Each video helps students review one skill and includes exercises for students to complete. In all there are 60+ reading and math topics, a video library of over 900 videos and a review of 365+ skills.
