Today is IPO day for Twitter.

Analysts on both sides of the fence – on why you should or shouldn’t buy Twitter – are still sounding off and will continue to do so long after trading closes for the day.

If you’re new to Twitter, have never used it or are downright confused what it is, you’ve probably wondered how Twitter makes money. Good question.

First off,  it does makes money. But it doesn’t profit as of yet. Thus is the crux in today’s flight of Twitter as a public company. Can it survive? It comes down to the numbers and monetizing the service. Facebook makes money dozens of ways.
