The newest version of WordPress (3.4.1) has a few neat little tricks. I noticed they have automatic Twitter embeds by simply just adding the tweet link to your blog post.
Let me give it a try:

Perfect! I love when things work. Here’s to more tweets in blog posts.
It’s simple. Just find the Tweet you want to spotlight, click on its box and some information will pop up. Click on Details and the actual page for the tweet will show up. Copy the URL and just paste it in your blog page and publish your page.
Slick. Okay, back to work.
Hmm…I tried this on a WP blog I have and it didn’t work. 🙁
Is it theme dependent?
You must have the latest release 3.4.1. Have you downloaded it? That may be it. If not, not quite sure but I can look into it. Thanks for the post.
What a pleuasre to find someone who identifies the issues so clearly
